Airpod case blinking red while charging the lead?
When the AirPod charging case starts flashing red (or orange/amber, whatever people want to call it), it's often a sign that the case itself is running low on power. Of course, AirPods get their charge from the case, but the case itself still needs charging from time to time.
Blinking orange or amber
The status light flashes amber on your AirPods, indicating that the AirPods are experiencing a pairing error. This could be caused by several issues, like an incorrect pairing between your AirPods and the Device you're attempting to use them with, outdated firmware, or low battery levels.
When you connect your case to a charger, or place your MagSafe Charging Case or Wireless Charging Case on a Qi-certified charging mat, the status light will stay on for 8 seconds. If the light flashes white, your AirPods are ready to set up with one of your devices.
Keep in mind that the status light will not stay illuminated while charging—about 8 seconds after you connect the AirPods Pro case to a charger, the status light will turn off, which could make it look like your AirPods are not charging.
If your AirPods are blinking red (or orange/amber), this means that they are not properly connected due to a pairing error. In most cases, resetting your AirPods should fix that error and the AirPods will stop blinking with a red light.

The charging status should appear on your iPhone screen, but if it doesn't show up, make sure your AirPods case has at least 10% charge, or else it won't have enough power to charge the wireless earbuds. Verify that a lightning bolt icon appears next to beneath the battery.

Static amber or orange light
The amber light on AirPods indicates that either your AirPods or the case is charging. If the earbuds are inside, it means the case is charging the earbuds. If your AirPods are outside the case, it means the case's battery is not full and you should connect it to a power source soon.
It is not possible at all to overcharge your AirPods case because the AirPods battery is designed to stop charging once it's all juiced up 100%.
How many years do AirPods last?
AirPods typically last about 2-3 years before most users feel the need to replace them. This short lifespan is because of their lithium-ion batteries. AirPods have proven tough in several durability tests and have shown that they can withstand pressure.

Clean your AirPods
It's possible that your AirPods charging contacts are dirty enough that they can't make a solid charging connection. Inspect the charging connections, and then clean both the AirPods and the charging case.
Sometimes, one of your AirPods or AirPods Pro may fail to charge properly because they are not in contact with the charging plate at the base of your charging case. This happens when you might not have inserted them fully or correctly into the charging case. Luckily, simply reinserting your AirPod may solve this issue.
No Light. No LED color on your AirPods indicates that they are dead (not charged) and need to be restored. To do so, simply charge your AirPods.
